The pavilion rental does not include Museum admission. Adults ages 13 and up are $6, youth ages 6 - 12 are $2 and children under 6 are free.
Picnic Shelter Cancellation Policy:
Refund amounts will be determined as follows:
• Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the picnic shelter reservation: full refund less the $9.00 non-refundable reservation fee and $9.00 cancellation fee
• Cancellations made 6 - 29 days prior to the picnic shelter reservation: refund of $145.00 less $9.00 cancellation fee
• Cancellations made within 5 days of the picnic shelter reservation: Not eligible for a refund.
You can now make a reservation for the day before your arrival and up until 11 months in advance.
The park is open from 9:00AM to 4:30 PM daily. The park is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The exhibit center is closed every Monday. The park's trails and bookshop close at 4:00PM daily. The track casting area is a seasonal activity open from May 1 - October 31st. Visitors must bring their own materials to make a cast.

Heavy weekend use at each park may lead to gate closures if the park fills to capacity. In the event of this happening, no more cars are allowed to enter. Guests should plan to arrive as early as possible to avoid being turned away. (Picnic shelter rental does not guarantee entry to the park.)

CT Cancellation Policy
There is a $9.00 fee to cancel your reservation.
If you cancel 2-7 days prior to your arrival date, you will also be charged one night's use fee.
Note: Neither the park nor the call center can cancel a reservation within 2 days of arrival.
Dissatisfaction due to reasons of weather, site conditions or other natural phenomena will not be considered sufficient cause for granting a refund.
Note: If you feel you have an exception to the cancellation policy, please submit your request in writing to the state park or forest campground where the campsite was rented. Your request should include details about why you feel an exception should be granted. The campground will verify registration and forward the request to the Department for review
and consideration.
